3-Year Data Shows More Than Half of CSS Test Candidates Fail Urdu – Pakistan

Details released in parliament revealed that 54.53% of candidates in Pakistan’s national language, Urdu, failed the Central Advanced Services (CSS) exam over the past three years.

The Founding Division submitted a written response to Congressional session detailing the number of candidates who passed and failed in various subjects from 2019 to 2021.

According to the report, 30% of test takers failed in Urdu in 2019, but in 2020 and 2021 the failure rate increased to 59% and 73% respectively, making overall failure The rate is now 54.53%.

It also highlights failure rates in other subjects, with essay writing showing a sizeable failure rate. In three years he had 49,500 candidates appear, of which 45,800 of his failed essay writings. In 2019, 13,328 out of 14,205 failed and only 6% passed.

In 2020, the pass rate was even lower, with only 4% of 18,387 contestants passing. In 2021, his essay writing success rate was his 13%, but his 87% of candidates failed.

The pass rate in English is also low, with 73% of candidates failing in 2019 and 39% and 92% failing in 2020 and 2021 respectively. The Pakistan issue dropout rate remained at 37% in 2019, 71% for him in 2020 and 46% for 2021. Islamiat lost 18% of candidates in 2019, 51% in 2020 and 81% in 2021.

The CSS exam is administered annually by the Federal Civil Service Commission (FPSC) and recruits individuals for various government positions. The exam is considered one of the most competitive exams in Pakistan and is taken by thousands of candidates each year.
