As we wait patiently for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 to be unveiled, unofficial renders of the foldable have surfaced online. These are third-party renderings based on information from various sources that have been leaked so far.

It is somewhat predictable. In fact, there aren’t many ways to design a foldable phone. One change is the rear camera module, where the flash has been moved to the side of the camera lens instead of under it.
Dimensional details
What is apparently different is the dimensions of the device. The unfolded size of the Z Fold 5 is clearly 154.9 mm x 129.9 mm x 6.3 mm, compared to the 155.1 mm x 130.1 mm x 6.3 mm of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.
When folded, the new phone is said to be a few millimeters thinner than its predecessor thanks to the introduction of a waterdrop hinge, which means that the sides of the screen lie perfectly flat against each other.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and the biggest upgrade seems to be under the hood. may be
Analysis: Design Changes Are Expensive
When there’s a significant design change to talk about, it always adds a little extra interest to the phone’s launch – but as we said, when it comes to folding two slabs of glass and metal, there’s a lot of ways to innovate. It’s too confusing.
Additionally, design changes are costly. If the Z Fold 5 looks like the Z Fold 4, Samsung could already use existing components and manufacturing lines to bring the phone to the masses.
Saving money is key when your profits have been declining as fast as Samsung’s in recent months. Let’s hope some of the savings are passed on to the consumer. The Z Fold 5 is rumored to be priced the same as its predecessor (starting at $1,799 / £1,649 / AU$2,499).
It looks like we’ll have to wait until next year to see any major design changes to this foldable, with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 reportedly coming with a “major form factor change,” but that’s exactly what it looks like. It is still unknown whether it will be seen.
