Almost a year after announcing the Rapid Security Response feature, Apple finally used an update system for the first time.

Apple has been tight-lipped about the exact details of the rollout, and the support page linked to the update only gives a general description. Reboot required Rapid Security Response allows you to use key updates that “can be applied automatically during standard software updates,” Apple said when it first announced the feature.
