Apple WWDC 2023 is official, and the start date for the week-long event is set for June 5, 2023.
Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference is Apple’s flagship industry event, typically chock-full of panels and tech demos for Apple software developers to learn about new changes in the operating system’s capabilities and underlying programming languages. Occasionally, product announcements are made during events.

The event will be held online for all registered developers, with a special in-person event on June 5th at Apple Park in Cupertino, CA.
Last year, Apple introduced the Apple M2 chip along with the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13-inch. In 2019, Apple also debuted a new Mac Pro, and it’s very likely that we’ll see a new Mac Pro with the M2 Ultra chip.
Apple is characteristically tight-lipped about it, so we can’t say for sure yet.Still, there are plenty of products Apple could show off at this event, and these are some of the most likely in our opinion.
Mac Pro (2023) (Image credit: Brittany Hosea-Small/ AFP/Getty Images) Last year, expectations were high for the new Mac Pro at WWDC 2022.WWDC is traditionally more an industry conference than a consumer product event.The Mac Pro is an industry-grade workstation that costs a ton of money (not literally). The Mac Pro is reasonably perfect for debuting in front of any developer he’s working on one, or at least developing with that workstation in mind.
It’s also the last major Apple product not to switch to Apple’s in-house silicon, so it makes sense to finally cut ties with Intel and launch a new workstation PC.
Apple M2 Ultra Alongside the new Mac Pro, the M2 Ultra SoC will also be shown. Apple has already shown off his M2, M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, with the M2 Ultra being the last silicon tier to come.
If anything like the M1 Ultra, it’s two interconnected M2 Max chips, effectively doubling the power of that chip, making it suitable for high-end Mac Studio-like workstation PCs. . The latter device uses the M1 Ultra, but it’s not clear if this kind of chip is powerful enough for the kinds of things industrial users need.
The 2019 Mac Pro had a maximum capacity of 1.5 TB. The M series chips use unified memory and when the M2 Ultra fuses his two M2 Max chips together, its maximum unified memory is only 256GB. This isn’t enough to edit a major Hollywood movie or create an orchestral piece with hundreds of samples. All of these require a lot of memory.
Still, WWDC 2023 makes the most sense if the M2 Ultra is to show up.
maybe a new iMac (Image credit: Future) Finally, in terms of computing, there really is only one iMac.
The iMac (24-inch) debuted two years ago and was powered by the new M1 chip at the time, so it definitely needs an upgrade. Its bold color options were definitely a hit, especially for me, but that color trend seems to have all but disappeared since then.
I’d love to see a purple iMac (M2) and may buy one if it’s actually announced in June, but in my opinion this is less likely than the Mac Pro.
