A Colorado dentist has been accused of poisoning his wife multiple times, including an arsenic-laden smoothie, before dying in what police describe as a “vicious, complex and calculated murder.”
Aurora Police Station on Sunday announced James Tolliver Craig, 45, has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder of his wife, Angela, of 43.
On Wednesday, Craig drove his wife to a local hospital after she complained of “severe headaches and dizziness.” .
Investigators found her poisoned, and shortly afterward, doctors pronounced her brain dead, according to police. .
Police believe her death occurred after a previous poisoning she survived. According to the arrest warrant, Craig spiked arsenic into a protein smoothie he made for his wife after a workout on March 6. Police say he felt fainting and dizzy after exercising, so he took him to the hospital. I received a brief treatment before being discharged from the hospital.
