Makeshark held a holiday-style grand opening on Wednesday, December 7, to celebrate its new office at 100 W. Main St. in Wilmington. The Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion.

Local leaders and community members came dressed in ugly sweaters to participate in a Makeshark-style “great white shark gift exchange,” a twist on their favorite holiday activity. The event was catered by local vendors such as TinCap, Beaugard’s and Generations.

“We decided to open an office in Wilmington because we wanted to be a part of the community, not just live in the city,” said team leader Dustin Pearce.

Since opening in August, Makeshark has already participated in many community events, such as the Truck or Treat in Denver Park and the Horidazzle Main Street Parade, and has switched to many local vendors to build stronger relationships within the community. is building.
