I’m back from downtime! crime report was under construction offline over the weekend, but today we are announcing a new website design and some new features to go along with it.
The new site introduces some new features and reworked how the original reports and daily Justice Digests are presented.
- of Justice Digesthas a new home highlighting daily news coverage from US and international reporters and outlets, featured both on the homepage sidebar and on its own landing page.
- As a non-profit newsroom dedicated to sharing criminal justice as broadly as possible, we are the Institute for Non-Commercial News.Guidelines for republishing work can be found hereWill likely update once the kinks are worked out.
- We kept the new home page focused on the original story, but included tools for readers to revisit older coverage under “Worth Reading” randomized from our top story archive.
- All in all, we’ve replaced outdated technology, future-proofed some of the tools we use on the backend, and modernized the design to make reading articles more comfortable. If you have any questions or suggestions, please let us know.
