Duluth, Minnesota – Like all teams, the St. Scholastica football team is starting with a clean slate after going 8-0 last season. The Saints are back in the grind as practice began Friday and the team is focused on improving his one day at a time.
“Our program philosophy, attention to detail, focus on the little things and stick to improving every day. I think part of it is the challenge of building from where we were. It’s exciting I love the people here and I love the culture I think it’s a great place and it only goes up from here. I’m definitely excited,” says sophomore receiver Ben Huntr.
The Saints have welcomed a large number of freshmen this season, and coach Mike Heffernan says the group has been completely embraced.
“The wins, the successes, they come when you pay attention to the details, and it all adds up that they know what we did and what we didn’t do last year, and we joined for the right reasons. Because they want to be part of this culture, they want to be part of what we do, and we have,” says Heffernan.
