In partnership with the Divac Foundation and IT Bootcamp School, GoDaddy employees help teach WordPress courses in Serbia. Candidates come from a variety of backgrounds, including law, economics, and social sciences, and want to learn more about IT and WordPress. The main goal of this course is to educate a student to maintain and troubleshoot WordPress issues, create a functional WordPress website, and eventually gain a position at a technology company such as her GoDaddy. You are the IT Bootcamp course leader. What was this experience like for you?

Myomir Vletas — A WordPress course is a unique experience for all of us. Finding the right way to explore WordPress, servers, DNS, email, etc. with students can be really challenging, but rewarding.
There is nothing in the world like the joy of a student after getting a job.

Aleksandar Milikovic — It’s an indescribable feeling when you know you’re helping someone step closer to their goals, especially when you know the amount of courage it takes to change your entire profession! I feel like I was the one who walked away more motivated than ever for the minute I tried to motivate. It’s inspiring to see the sheer dedication and guts that these amazing people have.

What kind of insight do you expect after a student walks away after taking a course?

Pavle Marjanovic — During the course, our ultimate goal is to teach students how to overcome their fears and become confident in whatever they do. I believe that if you can take that confidence and knowledge, nothing will stop you from achieving that goal!

Myomir Vletas — We hope that our courses will provide all students with sufficient information to tickle their imaginations and enable them to continue learning and progressing with determination and perseverance.

Aleksandar Milikovic — I hope it will pique their curiosity and eliminate their fear of learning something new. The old adage “You can do anything you set your mind to” may sound cliche, but I think they’ve proven it once again to be true.

What do you love about working at GoDaddy?

Pavle Marjanovic — Being part of GoDaddy has been a great experience for me from the beginning. I am very grateful to have been exposed to so many different challenges, opportunities and exciting projects that have helped me develop new skills and improve old ones.

Aleksandar Milikovic — strives to empower people to be the best versions of themselves and to give them the tools and opportunities to do so!

How has the course helped you since you were hired?

Nemanja Todorovic — This course helped me in many ways… First of all, the cooperation with my colleagues was perfect. I noticed a very positive social climate within the company. There, I feel safe, free, and confident in dealing with and removing obstacles and questions about my work. After that, I came to know the IT culture, which I felt was foreign to me who worked as a freelancer for 5 years. This course allowed me to perceive it in a clearer light. The expertise of our well-trained teachers in their respective positions provided us with invaluable knowledge. Special thanks to Pavle, Aleksandar and Miomir.

Daniela Markov — This course gave me the basic knowledge and tools to thrive in my new job considering I came from a completely different profession. I didn’t have an IT job qualification with GoDaddy before so I can thank the course his leader for doing his best to impart all his knowledge to us so that we could start a new path in our career. increase.

Ivana Martinovic — I learned some basics of DNS in the course and had the opportunity to expand my knowledge and understanding at GoDaddy. Bootcamp was all about WordPress, so I feel at home when I enter the dashboard. A recent troubleshooting exercise was made easy thanks to the exercise I completed on Bootcamp. Overall, I feel like I’ve gained superpowers by completing IT Bootcamp!

What advice would you give to students who are about to take the course?

Marko Milivojevic — My advice to future students is to accept the knowledge offered to them. Because after mastering the material with a little effort, you will be given a huge amount of opportunities for work and further improvement of your knowledge. However, perseverance will be rewarded.

Nemanja Todorovic — My advice to future students is that you can achieve any goal if you invest your time, desire, will, and effort in what you love.

Ivana Martinovic — Believe in yourself and ask questions to clarify what you are having trouble understanding. that’s it. If I could get out of my comfort zone and learn something new that has nothing to do with my life so far (and I’m in his 40s), so can you!

What’s the most challenging and rewarding thing you’ve worked on at GoDaddy so far?

Marko Milivojevic — I think that’s what I learned from WordPress and GoDaddy’s offerings. Combining the two gives you the right solution for your customers. GoDaddy offers many products. So it was rewarding to understand them all better.

Milika Kuserovic — The most rewarding part of working here is the people you work with. I would like to thank her three truly amazing people for teaching me about WordPress during bootcamp: Miomir, Aleksandar and Pavle. Thanks to my team including Sean and Greg.
