Digital Marketing and Webmastering Volunteer – Senegal

purpose of work

Amnesty International is looking for volunteers to assist with digital marketing and webmastering efforts to mobilize and engage audiences on trending human rights issues in the West and Central African regions. Ideally, volunteers will work five days a week for up to six months.

Selected candidates will benefit from a range of benefits, including an introduction to human rights dynamics in the West and Central African region and familiarity with regional and local organizations. Volunteers work with a wide range of people and participate in a variety of research, campaign activities, and innovative communication projects to make a difference in local and global human rights struggles and perceptions.

• We help build and maintain paid campaigns for Facebook, Twitter and Google.
• Assist in building and maintaining section country websites, including campaign landing pages.
• Ensure that all content is fact-checked and branded, and that assets used are properly approved and credited according to Amnesty International guidelines and the Legal and Policy Department.
• Re-edit existing web pages and posts in different formats and languages ​​with the help of our translation department or interpreters.
• Helps maintain and improve master report templates and dashboards.
• The help section reports usage of our digital platform with Google Analytics, Facebook and Twitter Insights.

skills and experience

• Good knowledge of digital marketing tactics and strategies.
• WordPress CMS experience and good web editing skills.

• Deep and proven knowledge of current social media trends and how to optimize your ads for better performance.
