Disney+ Hotstar UX improved: I’ve used the app on my phone and TV and here are my thoughts

Disney+ Hotstar is currently one of the leading streaming services in India. During this era of intense competition, the company has been committed to providing the most comfortable streaming experience for its millions of viewers. Disney+ Hotstar has made a comprehensive update to its platform.

I tried the app for a week watching shows, movies and sports. Here are my thoughts on the updated platform:

The latest update also brings a floating action bar to help users tailor their home screens to their liking. The app allows you to set preferences for each profile and device, especially regarding video and audio quality settings. It simplifies the display and makes it easier to find similar content. The all-new Disney+ Hotstar comes with a ‘My Space’ tab that gives you an exclusive view of everything related to you. This was great because it kept all my shows, movies, and my preferences in one place.

The company claims that the update will let users experience faster browsing and dedicated tabs that offer easier navigation and searching. was smooth too. The latest update also improved the visual UX. This is especially useful for showing snapshot previews of your content.

The only issue I personally faced was with some shows, such as Abbot Elementary, I had trouble finding episodes or seasons while browsing the smartTV version.

Overall, I’m impressed with the fresh facelift.The new update offers the platform an immersive and easy viewing experience. Content previews and information added along with the UX give the app a global feel. The revamped interface is clean, easy to use, and offers a more engaging display of different content.
