The DJI Mavic 3 Pro has finally officially landed. As rumors predicted, this is DJI’s first three-camera consumer drone and a new flagship that sits on top of the Mavic 3 series.

Not familiar with DJI drones? The Mavic series is the top-range consumer drone that sits above the mid-range Air series and the beginner-friendly Mini series. It surpassed the reasonably priced DJI Mavic 3 Classic to become the top model in the series.

So what makes the Mavic 3 Pro deserving flagship status? Its main draw is the three cameras that promise to be DJI’s most versatile drone yet. The Mavic 3 Pro has a main Four Thirds camera (24mm focal length) flanked by a new medium-telephoto 1/1.3-inch medium-telephoto camera (70mm focal length) and an improved 166mm telephoto camera.

Its telephoto is similar to that of the DJI Mavic 3 with the same small 1/2-inch sensor, but with a slightly longer focal length and a brighter aperture (f/3.4 compared to f/4.4). This can help improve the quality of long zoom shots, especially in less-than-ideal lighting.
