DraftKings removes late swaps for MMA contests after poor reception

Just months after allowing late swaps in the MMA DFS competition, DraftKings has decided to discontinue this feature going forward. A statement from DraftKings said the decision was made after receiving negative reactions to the addition of late swaps from MMA DFS players.

In a separate statement emailed to DFS Player, DraftKings said:

“In November 2022, DraftKings decided to include a late swap feature in their MMA DFS product as a solution for late scratches. After that, DraftKings decided to roll back the feature and return MMA to a no-delay swap sport.
“The introduction of late swaps has resulted in a poor user experience and the entire community wants the product to return to the previous format…Effective soon, DraftKings will make the necessary changes to the MMA product to return to the previous format. We’re back and offering you a better MMA DFS player experience.”
