Sparger –Tyler County Sheriff Brian Weatherford said illegal drugs were found in a car parked in the middle of a road in the Sparger area.
Police officers patrolling the Sparger neighborhood near County Route 4415 spotted the vehicle on the evening of Wednesday, November 30, Weatherford said.
The driver, whom they identified as Ernie House Jr., 48, of Townbluff, was taken into custody on drug charges along with his 64-year-old passenger, John Lamar Dennis, also of Townbluff.
Weatherford said when the agent came into contact with the vehicle’s occupants, he was able to smell the marijuana emanating from the vehicle before disembarking the occupants.
