Woodville – Last week, a longtime Tyler County doctor was acquitted of multiple charges.
Dr. Kelly L. Evans, who was charged with continued child sexual abuse and child indecency in June 2019, was acquitted by a Tyler County jury on Friday. November 4th, after a one-week trial.

Gertz, who emphasized that the allegations were not related to patient care, presented a defense that cited a “nasty multi-year divorce” as the cause of the sex crimes allegations.
