Emporia Children’s Choir Holds First Rehearsal Thursday

The city of Emporia and the area now has a dedicated children’s choir.

Director Anna Ryan, a recent guest on KVOE’s morning show, introduced the choir to the community, saying she’d been wanting to give local children this opportunity for some time.

Ryan says the choir is a completely free opportunity and is open to children from all areas in grades 4-8. The choir will have its first rehearsal this Thursday at 7:00 pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 1508 West 12th Avenue.

Rehearsals last approximately 45 minutes and occur once a week for the next eight weeks. According to Ryan, rehearsals will all continue until his March choir’s first performance.
