LOS ANGELES (AP) — Pageboy moptop child actor Adam Rich, who captivated television audiences as “America’s little brother” on “Eight Is Enough” in the late 1970s, has died. he was 54 years old.

Rich died Saturday in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, said Lt. Amy Earle of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. The cause of death is under investigation, but was not considered suspicious.
