You can get content from major networks and even originals from Hulu, but one of its standout features is the sheer amount of options available in various bundles and add-ons. For example, you can add premium channels like HBO Max and Showtime for an additional monthly fee and cancel/switch at any time.
A Hulu + Live TV subscription gives you over 75 channels for a reasonable price (read on for pricing details). You also get Disney Plus and ESPN Plus (see our article on Disney Plus bundles for more info). If you’re running out of traditional cable, this is the plan for delivering a mind-boggling amount of shows, and Hulu’s Cloud DVR lets you record up to 50 hours of live TV.

Last year saw price increases across Hulu’s on-demand plans, as we saw with ESPN Plus pricing and Disney Plus pricing.
Hulu’s Basic Plan is currently $7.99 per month (with ads) and $14.99 per month (without ads). This makes the “ad-supported” subscription match the Disney Plus subscription, but in some way bloats the ad-free subscription over Disney Plus. The Disney Plus ad-free package costs $10.99. The Hulu + Live TV plan, which includes ESPN Plus and Disney Plus, is now $69.99/month (with ads) and $82.99/month (without ads). Alternatively, you can get a live TV-only subscription for $68.99 a month, but you’ll have to forgo your Hulu streaming library and content from Disney Plus and ESPN Plus, so I simply don’t see why you wouldn’t watch it. pay an extra dollar.

If you have hardware that supports 4K Ultra HD, you’re in luck. Some of Hulu’s best shows can be streamed with sharper images, deeper colors, and his 8-megapixel imagery to overwhelm your eyeballs. That said, it’s a pretty small selection: Hulu has over 4,000 titles, but only about 70 get the 4K treatment. You can stream.

With Hulu’s price hike, we can no longer guarantee that Hulu is the cheaper option, but it still offers great value. For comparison, Netflix’s basic ad-supported plan is $6.99 per month ($1 cheaper than Hulu’s ad-supported plan) and its basic ad-free plan is $9.99, compared to Hulu’s $14.99. However, Netflix only allows you to stream on one device, while Hulu offers two devices (or the option to purchase unlimited streams for $9.99 per month). Hulu doesn’t limit the quality of its streams, but Netflix’s two cheapest plans only stream in SD. To get HD streaming on 2 devices with Netflix, you have to pay $15.49 (and $19.99 for 4 simultaneous Ultra HD streams).
