It looks like Intel could ditch the iconic ‘i’ brand in CPU names in the not too distant future. i.e. no more i5, i7, etc. why? That’s what Intel knows and we’re wondering too.

The news comes from Bernard Fernandes, director of global communications at Intel. Confirm by tweet Intel says it has plans for a “rebranding” as it stands at what he calls an “inflection point” on its roadmap for future CPU generations.
