Rumor has it that iOS 17 will bring some pretty significant changes. A newly leaked mockup of Apple’s mobile app lets you see how some of these changes will look on screen.
These mockups are from tipsters @analyst941 (opens in new tab) on Twitter (via MacRumors (opens in new tab) ), which seems to be based on inside information about the upcoming iOS 17 update. You’ll see a redesigned wallet app, health app, and wallpaper picker.
The Wallet app has a new navigation bar at the bottom that allows users to switch between sections: Cards, Cash, Keys, IDs and Orders. It also seems to have new navigation options and a search box at the top when you swipe down.
accept grid
When it comes to health apps, the Favorites section seems set to get a more grid-based interface that displays important stats at a glance in a visually appealing manner. I don’t see any changes made to the .
When it comes to wallpaper selection, there is a new grid-based design, with 9 wallpapers displayed at the same time. Apparently, wallpapers can be rearranged and removed more easily from here, with share and duplicate options available when you swipe up.
Interesting insight into what’s to come with iOS 17, but these are only unofficial mockups, so we don’t know if they match what Apple has planned.WWDC 2023 kicks off on 6 We’ll find out for sure on May 5th.
Analysis: lots of fun
From what we’ve heard so far, iOS 17 is set to be a major update for the iPhone, and Apple is keen to meet some of the “most requested features” that users want, but even if those features are I still don’t know what exactly it is.
It’s hard to believe that many people are clamoring for an updated look for the Wallet and Health apps. We’ve also heard that Siri could be relocated in iOS 17, and that Control Center could be revamped as well.
According to the leak, the biggest update of all will be the option to sideload apps outside of the official App Store, but the feature will only be available in Europe so Apple can comply with EU regulations. There was a story
Whatever the details, it looks like iOS 17’s next update will have a lot to look forward to. Apple will explain all the changes at his WWDC 2023 on June 5th and outline updates for iPadOS, watchOS and tvOS. more.
