Zachary Kaiser, a graduate of the University of Washington, Madison, recently published her next book with Bloomsbury Visual Arts.Interfaces and Us: Designing User Experiences and Creating Computable Subjects”
Kaiser graduated from the School of Education with a BA in Arts in 2006 and is currently on the faculty of Graphic Design and Experience Architecture at Michigan State University. His research has explored the relationship between technological interfaces and political subjectivity, with a current focus on indicators and analysis in higher education.
A preview of the book published on Bloomsbury’s website explains: Before we start commuting — but how does this world of technological interfaces affect our behavior and self-perception?”
The preview continues as follows. Zachary Kaiser explores the detrimental social impact of this idea (balancing speed and usability for users) and how design practice and education can respond positively. ”
