French company Kovalee, a mobile app publisher, has announced an €8 million Series A funding round, enabling massive hiring. Kovalee aims to double his team by the end of the year.
The round is led by European VC Iris and includes Breega and Bpifrance. King’s former performance was also joined by Alan Fung, his director of marketing, and Alexandre Berriche, co-founder and CEO of Fleet and Sequoia Capital Scouts.
“Most of the apps are not profitable, except for some happy ones, because it is almost impossible to gather all the skills needed to reach the top positions in the store. Funding Kovalee, a data-driven team that excels at providing this service to other users, is very easy as we have done it before by creating a leader in the gaming space IRIS partner Gil Doukhan said.
Funding will go towards research and development, and Kovalee plans to double its headcount by the end of 2023, expanding its team of international mobile experts and developers.
Kovalee’s publishing model is based on long-term profit-sharing partnerships with app creators. Kovalee provides tools and expertise to scale apps through User Experience (UX), User Acquisition (UA), App Store Optimization (ASO), and Monetization, allowing app creators to focus on their content need to do it.
“We are proud that several apps created by SMEs and published by Kovalee have beaten giants and become number one in the world in their field. We are doubling down on our technology to provide a publishing model for more apps with great potential, said Vincent Hart de Keating, CEO of Kovalee.
