Marvel’s Wolverine is developing its own game. The title, announced at his PlayStation Showcase in 2021, comes from the superhero veteran, Insomniac Games.

First, the trailer setting seems to drop big clues as to when and where Marvel’s Wolverine is set. Logan is drinking at the Princess Bar in Madripur (recognizable from Falcon and Winter Soldier), visible from the bar sign and Madipur tourist poster.
In Marvel Comics Presents Volume 1 #1 (1988), Wolverine visits the Princess Bar while hunting down a crime lord called Roche. After wiping the bar’s floor with Roche’s enforcer trying to recover his protection money from the bar’s owner, O’Donnell, Wolverine becomes a regular at the bar under the name “Patch” and co-owns it for a while. The bar was essentially Logan’s home during the X-Men’s inactivity. Has Insomniac Games hinted that this is the time period his Marvel’s Wolverine is set in. Will we be able to see Logan confront underworld crime?
Another possible Easter egg is the Radio Lowtown 104.8 poster. Lowtown is a district of Madipur, so Madipur as a stage is quite likely. But 104.8 seems to refer to Marvel Earth 1048. Marvel’s Spider-Man is set. This seems to suggest that Insomniac’s Spider-Man game and Wolverine take place in the same universe.
But radio stations aren’t the only numbers that seem to reference specific comic books. The number on the bar reads “HLK 181” on his plate, which seems to be a reference to his Hulk #18 in The Incredibles, where Wolverine appears. Does that mean we can see Hulk in Marvel’s Wolverine? Again, we certainly hope so.

Marvel’s Wolverine: what we want to see (Image credit: Sony) Embrace Wolverine’s Dark Side in the meantime Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales is critically acclaimed and undeniably quite family-friendly at times.Spider-Man himself is your “friendly neighborhood Spidey,” after all. But Wolverine isn’t all sun and rainbows. His backstory and character are pretty dark, relatively speaking.
We expect Insomniac to explore that aspect of Logan in the Wolverine games and offer a more mature experience than Spider-Man. In (depending on when this game is set), you can’t avoid dark moments.
Other Marvel Heroes Appear… I don’t want to put them in the spotlight, but it would be nice to see Insomniac bring other Marvel heroes into the Wolverine game as side characters. But expect some of the X-Men to make cameo appearances, such as Jean Grey, Professor X, or Rogue.
…and notorious villains I don’t know who will act as the main enemy now Marvel’s Wolverine , but there are plenty of notorious villains to choose from – and I imagine some could pop up in smaller roles. I want to see Alternatively, we might see him simply fighting to defeat the Weapon X program that saw him subjected to painful experiments.

In our opinion, it could work quite well. Similar to the MCU, Insomniac can create standalone products to get to know individual superheroes within its universe.As we continue to see Marvel heroes continue to get their own games, could we possibly see a crossover in the future?
