Framingham-Metrowest Medical Center (MWMC) employees collected over 60 coats and accessories for local families in need through Court Drive.

The family that received the coat hails from the local Metro West area.

It’s been a little warmer for the whole family this winter. Employees from both Framingham Union Hospital and Leonard Morse Hospital participated in the drive.

The hospital’s January court drive is in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

With MLK Day being celebrated this month, hospital staff wanted to find a way to give back to the community in his name. Additionally, MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated by Congress as a Day of National Service. This is a “day, not a holiday” to encourage all Americans to volunteer and make meaningful change in their communities.

MetroWest Medical Center is the largest regional medical system between Worcester and Boston. We have two locations, Framingham Union in Framingham and Leonard Morse in Natick. MetroWest Medical Center is committed to meeting the healthcare needs of our community by providing advanced medical and personalized care in our communities.
