Motorola’s latest flagship mobile phone, edge 40 pro will soon arrive on the shores of North America and will be rebranded as the 2023 version of the Edge Plus.
Comparing the two devices, they are almost the same phone with only minor differences. That can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on who you ask. It’s literally pretty much the same while having a decent mobile device.

The screen resolution has not been officially announced. However, considering it’s similar to the Edge 40 Pro, it’s entirely possible that the new Edge Plus will output in Full HD Plus (2400 x 1080 pixels).It’s also worth mentioning that the model supports HDR10 plus It has a 165Hz refresh rate, just like the old ones.
Under the hood, it’s the exact same story. Powering the new Edge Plus is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform for fast performance. This model’s “Triple High-Resolution Camera System” features a 50MP main lens, a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens with OIS (optical image stabilization) for “blurless photos” It consists of Up front, there’s a 60MP selfie camera with a Snapdragon Cognitive Image Signal Processor that “improves color accuracy.”
Other notable features include Night Vision for shooting videos in “low light environments”, Horizon Lock stabilization to stabilize camera shake when playing extreme sports like skiing, Autofocus tracking to keep you crystal clear and in focus.

Besides the name, another big difference from the Edge Plus 2023 is a newly discovered 5100mAh battery that can provide two days of lasting charge, at least according to Motorola. The Edge 40 Pro, on the other hand, has a 4,600mAh battery that can last a solid day.
If you’re interested in Edge Plus (2023) and live in the US, the phone will go on sale May 25th for $799.99 (pre-orders start May 19th). Become “unlocked and available everywhere” at Best Buy, Amazon and Motorola online stores. Unfortunately, no major carrier sells smartphones. If you want that option, you should choose to buy from a lesser-known carrier. Boost Infinite and Boost Mobile. In a few weeks, both Spectrum Mobile and Consumer Cellular will also start selling devices.
