Netflix is looking to expand its gaming offerings. Reports suggest that you may soon be able to enjoy the title on your TV or the Netflix phone app.
Between the not-so-popular announcements that free Netflix password sharing will soon be a thing of the past, streamers are expanding their catalog of services with: Includes games.
Subscribers to the Netflix mobile app don’t just find hit video content. You also have access to a fairly extensive lineup of free games that you can play on your smartphone. However, playing games on your phone’s screen isn’t everyone’s favourite. Especially on cheaper phones whose screens aren’t the biggest or the best quality.
Now developer Steve Moser has discovered code in the Netflix app that references a game being played on a TV (via Bloomberg).
Additionally, there seems to be some code suggesting that you can use your phone as a controller to play the game. One line of code says, “I need a controller to play games on my TV. Do you want to use this phone as a game controller?”
All leaks like this should be taken with a pinch of salt. I checked later.
Opinion: Excited about Netflix Game Improvements When I first heard that Netflix had plans to expand its catalog to games, I wasn’t at all enthusiastic about the idea. Rather than canceling the series without notice in its prime, they wanted to give them an extra season.

Mujirushi Ryohin , moon lighter and spirit farrer (All must play, especially if you’re a Netflix subscriber).
And with this latest leak, I’m super excited about how the streaming platform is developing. I don’t mind playing games on my phone when I’m out and about, but when I’m at home, I much prefer lying on the couch watching the action unfold on a big TV screen. So you’re more likely to finish a Netflix game on your TV.
If Netflix can continue to develop its gaming service, both in terms of infrastructure and catalog of titles, it could become a force to be reckoned with in the streaming space. .
