The Saints will face Hamline in the Home and Home Series this weekend.
Duluth, Minnesota – One year makes a big difference. The St. Scholastica men’s hockey team can prove it.
In their second year in the MIAC conference, the Saints are 7-0-1 and sit at the top of the standings.
With a big sweep of the conference’s defending champions, St. Olaf, over the weekend, the CSS shifts focus to four big series to close out the season.
Three of them are playing against teams with a .500 mark or higher in the conference.
Junior forward Filimon Ledenkov says the reason for their success is a combination of work ethic and solidarity.
Sophomore forward Nick Lanigan also added that he learned a lot from last year.
“I think we did well in the conference last year. Either I was tired or I just didn’t understand the little things and this year I really focused on these little things at the beginning of the week I go into the game on Friday and if I win that game I go to sleep You wake up the next day and you go to Saturday and it’s a whole new day, a whole new game,” Lanigan added.
