According to the latest rumors, Nvidia’s RTX 4060 Ti graphics card is set to hit shelves by the end of May, but Team Green doesn’t yet know when the vanilla RTX 4060 will launch.
This fresh leak from VideoCardz (opens in new tab) Here is a timeline document for the embargo that clearly states that the RTX 4060 Ti will ship on May 5th. This comes later this week before both the product announcement and launch date are marked “end of May.”
This could mean availability as soon as the product launches, or it could mean a short period of time between the reveal and the GPU actually hitting shelves.
As for the base RTX 4060, it’s marked ‘TBD’ so we can assume the 4060 Ti will arrive a bit later, as the rumored factory has already suggested.
Of course, season all of this well. Naturally, what Nvidia currently intends could change and the 4060 Ti’s launch could still be delayed. That said, the GPU has been rumored to be a Computex launch (end of May) for some time now.
Analysis: Price is key
This is further proof that the RTX 4060 Ti is about to launch, and we’ve seen quite a few of them lately. twitter (opens in new tab) This graphics card was also recently spotted in some MSI PCs (accidentally published Dutch online retailer’s product listing, now removed).
Bottom line, at this point, we’d be surprised if we don’t see an RTX 4060 Ti at the end of the month.
With widespread concern that the RTX 4060 Ti isn’t all that impressive in the specs department, especially the alleged 8GB of VRAM seems like a small allotment these days, even for 1080p gaming, but still we must. Check out where Nvidia offers pricing for this GPU.
Some genuinely affordable prices could still get the job done, but the latest rumors about cost aren’t promising, theorizing that the RTX 4060 Ti could pitch at $450, which is a conservative Disappointing to say the least. This is from a YouTube leaker and not one of the strongest track record. Another rumor suggests a $399 price tag (from his MyDrivers in China, a less reliable source).
Honestly, I’m not confident in any of these speculations, as it’s possible that Nvidia is still finalizing pricing itself. If is correct, Team Green should make this a reasonably compelling value proposition.
On the cost side, Nvidia also has to factor in its rival RX 7600. AMD has sneaked in for a May 25th launch, and he’s allegedly planning to steal Nvidia’s RTX 4060 Ti thunder.
