Once again, it's time for the annual WordPress one-sided endorsement 12

It was around this time, so 14 (!) years ago, we switched to a service that hosts Whatever. Before the switch, I was plagued with site issues. It was due to backend issues and rough patches that weren’t fully resolved. But when I switched to WordPress, things went smoothly. I can count on one hand how many times the site has been down since 2008, and yet it came back up quickly.

This is also a place I would recommend again if you are a creator of any kind, In particular Writers, maintaining your own site, where people can always find you and control your content. As the social media giant’s various recent issues have shown, none of these sites are immune to drama, nor will they last forever at the top of the heap. If you have your own site, you will always be by their side no matter what happens to them – whatever has been around for 24 years! That’s just a few generations of social media out there.

I love WordPress, it’s robust, seamless, and easy to use, and I recommend it every year. I have never regretted using this service. There are many reasons for regret. WordPress does not pay me to endorse or imply that endorsements are welcome. I think it’s a really good service, so I support it. If you’re looking to carve out a place for yourself on the internet (you should!), WordPress is the perfect place to host it. Here are some of the different packages they offer. See which one works for you.
