Orlando domestic violence shooting kills three, suspect dead

Three people and a child died early Sunday morning in Orlando as a result of a domestic violence incident, police said.

orlando police Identified Lacorvis Tamar Daley, 28, was a suspect in a triple murder just before 2:30 a.m. at his home at 614 Grand St. Daley was killed following a police shootout.

remarks at Sunday’s press conferenceOrlando Police Chief Eric Smith said authorities were responding to calls to report domestic violence. Gunshots were heard from inside the house as officers arrived on the scene.

Smith said Daly was killed after he opened fire on officers who arrived at the scene and returned the gunfire.

The officer was not injured, Orlando Police said.

Police then broke into the house and found two adults dead and one child still alive. All had gunshot wounds and the child was taken to a local hospital. Three victims have been confirmed dead, Orlando Police said.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer handle A Twitter post on Sunday called the incident a “horrifying and tragic situation.”

“Sending support to the victim’s family and to the officers who were thankfully unharmed,” Dyer wrote.
