ParentSquare Acquires Gabbart Communications for Public Engagement

ParentSquare is adding new features to its school communications software by acquiring website and content management business Gabbart Communications, allowing teachers to post directly to school websites and social media channels, the company said this week. announced in a news release.

ParentSquare’s software helps community administrators, principals, and teachers reach out to families, whether through the media or in person. Parents can access messages via the ParentSquare app or her website, as well as via email, text, or voice that can be translated into up to 120 languages. The company’s integration with Gabbart has resulted in a new website module, Smart Sites. This allows users to automate information sharing and ensure consistency across various channels.

According to the news release, ParentSquare saw an opportunity in Gabbart to build its capabilities and address the many needs of parents and schools.

Oklahoma native Gabbart Communications has been around for 20 years and specializes in web design, content and learning management systems, app creation, and school and community branding. One school district that has worked with both ParentSquare and Gabbart is the Texas-based United Independent School District. Technical Assistant Hector Perez said the partnership will create better relationships between school districts and families.
