Offshore Electronics announced that it will provide design manufacturing support and PCB assembly services to Fireco, a supplier and manufacturer of fire door compliance devices and solutions. The move consolidated much of his PCBA procurement for Fireco, with the company utilizing several suppliers before signing a new contract with his Guernsey-based CEM.

Fireco says its range has become a safety and compliance staple in modern buildings since it was first introduced in the early 1990s. In addition, the product’s circuitry is currently in need of a major update. A contract with Offshore covering current and future projects through 2023 also ensures that this range of professional devices will work seamlessly with his Fireco proprietary site manager software.

Fireco’s Dorgard and Freedor products automatically close when the building alarm system is activated. This allows businesses to keep fire doors open when needed, while still complying with building regulations. The company has been manufacturing his three variations of this product for almost 30 years, but plans to incorporate more features into a single, versatile solution due to be released in 2023.

The deal comes at a critical time for both businesses. Fireco has grown significantly since his 2020 and is expected to continue strong growth throughout 2023. Meanwhile, Offshore recently invested in new production machinery, including the Yamaha Z:LEX YSM20R modular pick-and-place machine, effectively doubling the number of components he can place. monthly.
