Trains on Metro-North’s New Haven and Harlem lines were delayed due to “police activity” at the Melrose station in the Bronx, N.Y., on Friday morning, the Metropolitan Transit Authority said.
In a tweet sent at 6:11am, Metro-North said two lines were delayed between Botanical Garden Station and Grand Central Terminal.
At 6:57 a.m., the MTA said services between the Botanic Gardens and Grand Central had resumed, but with delays of up to an hour. Northbound trains will “temporarily bypass Melrose, Tremont, Fordham, Botanical Gardens, Williams Bridge and Woodlawn,” the MTA said.
The 4:39 a.m. train from Stamford to Grand Central has been canceled, according to the MTA.
The 4am train from New Haven to Grand Central was canceled at Williams Bridge.
The 4:22 a.m. train from the Southeast to Grand Central was canceled at the Botanical Gardens.
