Most web builders preach about customization options, but Webflow really talks. Known for being highly customizable, this makes it a great option for creatives, perfectionists, or those who are very detail or design oriented. Create stunning websites without typing a single line of code.

Like most web builders, Webflow supports ecommerce brands in addition to freelancers, creatives, and other small business owners. Webflow offers small to medium sized ecommerce brands the same level of design features and other competitive perks like no transaction fees.


Webflow has three types of plans: Site Plan, Ecommerce Plan, and Workspace Plan.

A site plan is required to publish and design a non-ecommerce site. The free plan lets you try Webflow’s design features, but you can’t get a custom domain unless you pay $12/month (billed annually) for the basic plan.

If you want to use Webflow for your blog or content site (not just your portfolio site), you need a CMS plan that supports 2,000 content management items and 3 items for $16/month (billed annually). content editor. The mid-tier ecommerce plan, Plus, costs $74/month and supports up to 1,000 items. More than 1,000 items requires the Advanced plan, which supports 3,000 items and unlimited sales volume and costs $212 per month (for annual billing).

Webflow’s workspace plans are designed to work together with site plans, but focus on site permissions and collaboration capabilities rather than design. Starting at $0 per designer.

Paid workspace plans allow you to add more collaborators and grant specific permissions to different team members. This is especially useful for large content sites, web design agencies, or e-commerce brands.

Webflow is known for advanced design features such as parallax scrolling, animations and micro-interactions. Webflow’s design builder lets you create a more dynamic web browsing experience with interactive elements such as text and images that move across the page.


Webflow has hundreds of templates to choose from if you don’t want to completely design it from scratch. Choose from e-commerce, personal or business templates and customize to your exact specifications. All templates are mobile friendly and Webflow’s editor allows you to edit the mobile and desktop look of your site.

Paid templates range from $19 to $149. Paying for web templates can help you achieve the look you want for your site faster and more accurately.


Webflow comes with robust built-in SEO tools. Not only can you edit the title, URLs, and meta description, you can also create 301 redirects, edit your robots.txt file, and automatically generate a sitemap.


Webflow integrates with dozens of leading services including Gmail, HubSpot, Mailchimp, SoundCloud, Zapier, and more. The downside here is that most of these integrations aren’t one-click, so they take time and effort to set up and configure.

Luckily, the Webflow University Help Center does a good job of explaining how to configure each integration. Some tutorials contain screenshots for easier understanding.


All Webflow sites come with a free SSL certificate and DDoS protection. You also get unlimited site backups. This means your work is backed up in case something goes wrong.


For e-commerce companies, Webflow offers many attractive features. As for payments, Webflow can accept e-commerce payments from all major credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and PayPal. Sales tax is automatically calculated using TaxJar’s API, so you don’t have to calculate the numbers yourself.

For marketing, Webflow gives you complete control over the design of your receipts and order notification emails to exactly match your brand’s look and feel. You can also connect your site to Facebook, Instagram, and Google to run advertising campaigns and create shoppable posts more easily.
