I never was able to put myself into their mindset as a kid or young man, I couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t at least temporarily move, people in war torn regions – but once I got over 40 and dealt with bodily pains, tons of life experiences, run-ins with near death experiences, losses of family and friends, deep relationships with people, animals, places and things I built with my hands and time – man I get it now. This is home, this place is as much me as I am it. If I go, that’s just gonna be part of the history of this place.
