Speaking exclusively to TechRadar ahead of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) movie release – read our article Shazam!wrath of the gods Review it if you haven’t already – Sandberg explained how Gal Gadot’s superhero found its way to a sequel.

Despite wanting to include Gadot in Shazam’s second live-action film, Sandberg was skeptical that Gadot or Warner Bros. would agree to include her in the film. Why? A Wonder Woman cameo shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. Like Shazam, DC’s Super Her hero (real name Diana Prince) has ties to Greek mythology as she is the daughter of Zeus.Given Shazam’s own link to the Greek gods, not to mention the appearance of Atlas’ hostile daughter wrath of the gods Shazam and Wonder Woman are like a match made in heaven.
Well, anyway, in terms of teaming up.As wrath of the gods Shaw, Shazam, or teenage Billy Batson aren’t likely to actually date Wonder Woman, even though the movie teases him in a funny dream sequence early in its runtime. Appearance of Gadot in Shazam! 2 was always just a cameo. I mean, no other script featured her more prominently.
“Gal never got a big role because we’ll never get her!” Sandberg added. But it’s still Shazam, and it’s a little smaller than other superhero movies, so I was really happy to get her…the actual actor’s head in the movie!
“That allowed us to make fun of people in the scene where the wizard’s head is on Wonder Woman’s body, which you can only do if you actually let her appear at the end. Otherwise, people will be p**** leave the theater unimpressed and just walk away.”
Unfortunately for Sandberg, and for the film’s cast and large crew, the Wonder Woman cameo was surprisingly ruined. wrath of the gods ‘ release. Her appearance was confirmed in a TV spot in the movie that released last weekend (March 11/12). Perhaps studio executives, concerned that the upcoming DCEU movie isn’t tracking well at the box office, are on the fence about seeing it in theaters by revealing the appearance of Wonder Woman. Either way, it’s a fun cameo that gives Gadot some wraps in playing the iconic superhero in the DCEU. (opens in new tab) ) spoke with Gadot about the possibility of him and Peter Safran appearing in a new-look DC Cinematic Universe (DCU), and the DCU’s first project was revealed in late January.
However, it’s unclear if Gadot will reprise her role as Wonder Woman, or if she’ll play someone else. wrath of the gods It may prove to be one of her last appearances as a popular superhero.
