South Gray News | OPP Satisfaction Survey Results

Between January 12 and March 16, 2022, citizens across the province were asked to participate in a Community Satisfaction Survey (CSS) sponsored by the Ontario Police Department (OPP). It measures public opinion about the services OPP provides to Ontario communities. .

A state report, now available on opp.ca, defines the methodology that research consultants use to collect data. This includes questions on topics such as public awareness of OPP policing, crime handling, maritime and ATV patrols, highway safety, traffic enforcement, and responding to critical incidents.

OPP is pleased to present the 2022 Local CSS Results. Overall, the survey found that 77.8% of respondents felt “safe” or “very safe” in the community and 95.5% were “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with the overall quality of services provided by OPP. It became clear that he felt that

Due to significant changes in questionnaires and sampling methods since the last Local CSS in 2018, it is not possible to compare 2022 Local CSS results with results prior to 2018.

Information gathered through this survey will help OPP set goals and objectives to improve the services provided to communities across Ontario.
