This summer, two Southern Adventist University brothers won gold medals at the SkillsUSA national competition in Atlanta, Georgia. Allen and Brandon Gustrowsky joined his web design and development department in college during his sophomore year and his junior year majoring in computer science.

The annual SkillsUSA National Convention is a showcase for career and technical education, and this year more than 5,200 outstanding career and technical education students (all winners of state competitions) competed in 108 different trade, technical and and competed practically in the leadership field.
The Gastrovski brothers earned first place at the Tennessee Games and qualified for the national championships. At that event, Southern students took both his 1st and his 2nd place, with junior computer science majors Simon Sierra and Adrian Morales winning silver medals.
At the national competition, each team completed an interview and written test and created a website from start to finish in 6 hours.
“It felt good to walk away knowing that we had built a website that was organized, clean, and had a solid foundation,” said Allen Gustrowski. I did.”
